North Carolina Lawyers Weekly, which was founded in 1988, reports on legal decisions issued by all of the state and federal courts in North Carolina, as well as on changes to court rules, verdict & settlement reports, bar discipline and all other news vital to attorneys in the state.

In addition to reporting all decisions issued by the North Carolina Supreme Court, the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, North Carolina Lawyers Weekly also covers rulings from the North Carolina Industrial Commission, the North Carolina Attorney General's Office, the North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings, the U.S. District Courts in North Carolina and the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts in North Carolina.

Guy Loranger is a 1995 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he majored in English. Since 1996, he has worked as a sports reporter and editor at three North Carolina newspapers, including The Herald-Sun in Durham. While at The Herald-Sun, the sports department received several national and state awards. In 2007, he graduated from the North Carolina Central School of Law. Diana Smith received her bachelor's degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, where she received the Kappa Tau Alpha Top Scholar Award for the highest GPA in the school's print journalism program. Paul is a member of the State Bars of North Carolina and Florida, as well as the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the Mecklenburg County Bar.
